ATLANTA - Aris Briggs of the GSU men's soccer team is this week's GSU Student-Athlete of the Week.
Briggs netted goals in both of Georgia State's matches over the week, scoring the game-winner in GSU's 2-1 victory over Belmont on Tuesday and notching the equalizer in Saturday's 1-1 draw with rival Georgia Southern. His goal in Saturday's match helped the Panthers remain undefeated in conference play and hold onto first place in the Sun Belt.
The Memphis, Tenn., native increased his goal count to four this season, ranking Briggs tied for sixth among all Sun Belt players in that category.
