Blue Sweeps White in Fall World Series

ATLANTA -- Team Blue downed Team White 3-2 in Game 2 to sweep the Georgia State Baseball Fall World Series, two games to none.

Thursday's Blue victory followed a 5-0 win in Game 1 for the squad coached by Steve Rosen and Rhett Harper.

Sophomore left-hander Tyler Koch was named Most Valuable Pitcher after earning the Game 1 victory with two scoreless innings.

Freshman infielder Griffin Cheney drove in the go-ahead runs with a two-run double in the seventh inning of Game 2.

In Game 1, the teams dueled for 10 scoreless innings before Luke Leonard drove in the game's first run in the top of the 11th, and Blue went on to score five runs for the 5-0 victory.
