ATLANTA -- With Opening Day three weeks away, today was the first day of official team practice for college baseball teams across the nation, including the Georgia State Panthers.
The Panthers open the 2017 season by hosting Marshall on Friday, Feb. 17 at 4 p.m. at the GSU Baseball Complex in the first game of the third annual Atlanta Challenge. Western Michigan (Feb. 18) and BYU (Feb. 20) also visit for the opening weekend.
Head coach Greg Frady enters his 11th season at the helm.
"We had a really good day of practice," Frady said. "It feels good to have a full-on, quality two-hour practice.
