ATLANTA -- Bailey Showers went a perfect 4-0 over the weekend to help Georgia State men’s tennis capture the 2019 Sun Belt Regular Season title and has been named the GSU Student-Athlete of the Week on Monday.
Showers helped Georgia State lock up the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament for the fourth consecutive season by going undefeated on the week. The junior went 2-0 at the No. 4 singles position and 2-0 at the No. 3 doubles position, while improving to 7-1 in doubles play with partner Quentin Coulaud.
Showers defeated his Georgia Southern opponent in straight sets in singles after cruising to a 6-2 win in doubles with Coulaud.
