ATLANTA – Georgia State Athletics achieved one of its most successful semesters in the classroom for the Fall 2019 as the Panthers combined for a 3.19 grade point average for the semester, with 215 student-athletes earning academic honors.
The 3.19 GPA is the Panthers' second-highest semester ever and marks the 23rd consecutive semester that GSU Athletics has maintained a GPA (semester or cumulative) of 3.0 or higher, dating back to 2008. The department's combined cumulative GPA stands at 3.20, also among the highest figures on record.
Georgia State's beach volleyball program achieved a 3.99 GPA for the semester, a record for any individual Panther program.
