ATLANTA- Georgia State men’s tennis junior Andrei Andrukhou earned Sun Belt Player of the Week honors, the league announced Wednesday afternoon.
This is the third time and second week in a row that a GSU student-athlete has won the award, with senior Zackery Kennedy earning the two previous awards.
Andrukhou helped lead the Panthers to a 2-0 week, clinching the doubles point over FAU with Kennedy and giving the team momentum in a come-from-behind win over Furman.
The Minsk, Belarus native went 1-1 in singles play and 1-0 in doubles, leading 5-4 with Kennedy as Furman clinched the point.
