10 1st-Place Finishes Help GSU Dominate at WCU

CULLOWHEE, N.C. – Georgia State rolled to 10 first places, seven second places ad nine third places to dominate the eight-team Western Carolina Invitational Friday.

Leading the Panthers individual efforts was LaPorscha Wells with wins in both the shot put and hammer. Busy Jada Steward had a first in the 100m dash, the 4x100m relay and a second in the 200m run. Sydney Davis won the 400m race and took first with the 4x400m relay team. Alysiah Whittaker claimed a first place in the discus, second place in the hammer and even a third-place in the shot put.
