LAFAYETTE, La. - Georgia Southern women's soccer earned a point on Sunday, drawing Louisiana with a 1-1 score in Sun Belt Conference action from Lafayette.
The Eagles move to 2-7-3 overall and 0-2-2 in the Sun Belt, while Louisiana is now 4-4-3 overall and 1-1-2 in the league. Georgia Southern returns home to Statesboro on Thursday, October 2, hosting Georgia State in a 7 p.m. Sun Belt Conference contest from Bo Pitts Field.
Louisiana wasted little time tallying its goal as a corner kick from Kendal Green found the head of Salma Elhaimer in the third minute for the go-ahead score.
