EATONTON, Ga. – Regina Plascencia shot a 71, while Abby Newton and Haley Yerxa recorded 73s in the final round to lead the Georgia Southern women's golf team to the team title at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational at Great Waters Golf Course Sunday.
The Eagle counters combined to shoot 4-under on their last two holes of the tournament to win the event by three strokes over Delaware. Western Kentucky took third, and Mercer and ETSU tied for fourth.
Plascencia, who was in the lineup for the first time in her young career, tied for sixth on the individual leaderboard.
