MORGANTON, N.C. – A day after freshman Sarunchana Rattanasin tied her own school record with a 66, sophomore Abby Newton posted the mark again in the third round, and the Georgia Southern women's golf team won the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate Tuesday at Mimosa Hills Golf and Country Club.
The Eagles shot a 2-under 286 for the lowest round of the day to record their first win of the season, topping USC Upstate by five strokes, and fourth top-2 finish. It's the third team victory in school history as the program began in 2015.
