Women’s Golf Sits in Seventh at NCAA Tallahassee Regional

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Abby Newton shot an even-par 72, and the Georgia Southern women's golf team is in seventh after 18 holes of the NCAA Championship Tallahassee Regional Monday at Seminole Legacy Golf Club.

Tenth-ranked UCLA (E) leads the tournament, followed by host school and 16th-ranked Florida State (+2), and Mississippi State (+3) is third. The Eagles (+12) are one stroke behind Miami (+11), No. 3 South Carolina and Quinnipiac, who are in a three-way tie for fourth.

The top four teams and the top two individuals not on those teams from each of the six regionals will advance to the finals, which will be played May 20-25 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona.
