DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Alberte Thuesen tied for the fifth-lowest score of the day with a 71 in the second round of the Sun Belt Championship Monday at LPGA International Hills Course, and the Georgia Southern women's golf team maintained its third-place standing through 36 holes.
The Eagles (+13) are eight shots ahead of South Alabama (+21) and nine clear of fifth-place Troy (+22). Coastal Carolina (-14) shot 10-under today, the only team to shoot under par, and moved ahead of Texas State (-6) and into the lead.
Savannah Satterfield made four birdies on the day to shoot 73 and is tied for 10th on the individual leaderboard, and Thuesen moved up the board 12 spots into a tie for 12th.
