MT. PLEASANT, S.C. - The Georgia Southern women's golf team shot a school-record 287 in the first round of the CSU Fall Invitational at Rivertowne Country Club Monday and leads the tournament. The second round is currently underway, and the third and final round is slated for Tuesday.

The score is seven strokes better than the previous mark of 294, set last year in the program's first season and is the first time the Eagles have shot under par as a team. Georgia Southern began the second round with a three-stroke lead over College of Charleston.
