STATESBORO - Georgia Southern Head Women's Basketball Coach Anita Howard announced the addition of incoming freshman Amoni Byrd to the Eagles' 2022-23 signing class.
A 5-9 shooting guard from Bayside, N.Y., Byrd joins a trio of previously-announced transfers in the Eagles' signing class. Georgia Southern is coming off of an 18-10 season that was the best record for Georgia Southern women's basketball in more than a decade.
Byrd was a three-time team MVP at Archbishop Malloy HS in Briarwood, N.Y., and averaged 18 points, eight assists, five rebounds, three blocks and three steals per game for the Stanners.
