STATESBORO, GA. – Georgia Southern Swimming and Diving's Emma Weisel and Mykala Arnold have been named as honorable mentions to the 2016 College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-American Team.
To be eligible for inclusion on the team, student-athletes must earn a 3.50 or higher GPA and excel in the pool, posting an NCAA Championships "B" qualifying time or better. In total, more than 1,700 male and female student-athletes across NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA levels earned the honor in 2016.
Mykala Arnold's freshman campaign in 2016 featured three All-CCSA finishes, placing third in the 200 Back, 400 Free Relay and 800 Free Relay.
