BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- After Day One of the Sun Belt Indoor Championships, the Georgia Southern track and field team qualified four to compete in the finals on Tuesday. In addition, Jasmin Walker earned first-place accolades in the long jump and Kelsey Arnold boasted a seventh-place finish in weight throw.
Along with winning the long jump, Walker was also one of eight in the conference to move to Day Two in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.57 seconds, good for fifth. In the 60 meter hurdles, Tatiyana Rayford also found success, scoring a career-best 8.
