STATESBORO– Georgia Southern volleyball (6-0) stretched its win streak to six, taking down Mercer (1-6) in straight sets on Sunday afternoon.
"It was a solid week for us at home," head coach said. "We powered through those high-error stretches, and the quality of our team continues to get better. I like that we're getting tested in areas that allow us to figure things out."
The Eagles trailed early in set one, but and each contributed kills in a 5-0 run to take an 18-12 lead. The Bears answered with a 4-0 run, but made sure there would be no comeback, slamming a pair of kills to win 25-21.
