Senior cornerback Kindle Vildor has been named to the 2019 Chuck Bednarik Award Watch List, given to the best defensive player in college football.
Vildor was named to the All-Sun Belt First Team in 2018 after his 42 tackle, four interception and 11 pass breakup campaign.
Joining the senior from College Park in representing the Sun Belt is Appalachian State linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither. Other names of note include Minnesota defensive end Carter Coughlin and LSU safety Grant Delpit.
Semifinalists will be announced October 29 and the winner will be named on December 12 as part of the Home Depot Football Awards Show in Atlanta.
