TROY, Ala. - The Troy Trojans scored six runs in two innings and held on to defeat the Georgia Southern Eagles 11-8 on Saturday afternoon in Troy, Alabama. The Eagles fall to 10-7, 1-1, while the Trojans improve to 9-9, 1-1 on the season.
Chase Dollander fell to 2-1 on the season, allowing six runs off eight hits in his two innings of work. Georgia Southern would find themselves in a 6-0 hole, before the Eagles were able to get on the board in the fourth. Sam Blancato would beat out an infield single, scoring a pair and cutting into the Trojan lead.
