CLEMSON, S.C.- This weekend, the Georgia Southern track and field team notched two first-place finishes in the two-day Bob Pollock Classic hosted by Clemson on top of sixth other top-5 marks.
Senior Jaswin Walker snagged the medal in the long jump with 5.93m while junior Nia Hill followed closely behind to earn fourth place. In addition Walker finished in fourth place in the 60 meter dash.
Finishing in under a minute, junior Asha Stegall clinched first place in the 400m with a time of 57.66.
Field events proved to be the Eagles strong suit this weekend, with freshman Jamelia Owens posting a career-best 13.
