STATESBORO - Georgia Southern Track and Field Head Coach Kelly Carter has announced the hiring of Wesley Penberthy as the Eagles' Assistant Coach for Distance and Cross Country. Penberthy was most recently at Oklahoma where he worked with the Sooners' distance runners as a volunteer assistant.
"We are excited to have Wesley join our program," said Head Coach Kelly Carter. "He is a driven young coach and I think he will fit in very well with our team. He comes to Statesboro with some great experience which will help boost our performance entering the new season.
