STATESBORO — A trio of former Georgia Southern football players will have a chance to showcase their talents this offseason as they were invited to play in postseason scouting bowls. Defensive back Darrell Baker Jr. was invited to the East-West Shrine Bowl in Las Vegas and offensive linemen Aaron Dowdell and Lawrence Edwards were invited to this week's FBS All Americans Tropical Bowl in Orlando.
Scheduled for Jan. 15, the Tropical Bowl will be played in Orlando's Camping World Stadium. The 97th East-West Shrine Bowl is scheduled for Feb.
