STATESBORO - Georgia Southern women's basketball junior Terren Ward has been named the final Sun Belt Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the 2022-23 regular season, announced today by league officials.
Ward averaged 23.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game in a pair of Sun Belt road wins last week as Georgia Southern closed out the 2022-23 regular season by achieving 20 wins for the first time in 20 years.
The Jesup, Ga., native tallied 29 points and six rebounds in Georgia Southern's 75-59 win at South Alabama on Wednesday, her ninth 20+ point performance this season.
