STATESBORO - Georgia Southern Athletics and Student-Athlete Services recently hosted the Scholar-Athlete Awards Banquet at the Nessmith-Lane Conference Center. The banquet honored the Eagle Honor Roll and Scholar-Athletes of the Year. One hundred and thirty student-athletes qualified for the Honor Roll, and one male and one female were selected as the Scholar-Athletes of the Year.
The male nominees for Scholar-Athlete of the Year were: Jeffrey Thomas, Baseball; , Football; s, Soccer; and , Tennis. The female nominees were: , Soccer; , Track & Field; , Volleyball; , Swimming & Diving; and , Tennis
This year, football player and track & field athlete were chosen as the Male and Female Scholar-Athletes of the Year.
