STATESBORO - Four interceptions, including an 80-yard "Pick 7" on the final play of the game, lifted Team Blue to a 43-19 victory over Team White Saturday in the Georgia Southern Spring Football Game, presented by Morris Bank, Southern Exchange, and Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport.
In a format where both the offense and defense could score based on a point system, Team White scored the first points on a 22-yard field goal from Michael Lantz. Davis Brin connected with tight end Keaton Upshaw on a 9-yard scoring pass. In the second quarter, Colton FitzGerald hit DeAndre Buchannon in the back of the end zone for a 26-yard scoring play.
