LOS ANGELES – As Georgia Southern students head to their first classes of the semester today, Steven Fisk will be heading to the driving range. The junior will be competing in the 117th U.S. Amateur, which begins today at The Riviera Country Club and Bel-Air Country Club.
Competitors play 18 holes on each course today and tomorrow, and the top 64 players advance to match play, which begins Wednesday at Riviera.
Fisk shot 69-69=138 (-6) to take third in the 36-hole qualifier at the Piedmont Driving Club back in July.
