STATESBORO - Tyson Summers has been the head coach of the Georgia Southern football program for over three months now, but it wasn't until senior safety Vegas Harley crossed over the bridge at Beautiful Eagle Creek at 3:05 p.m. Thursday that the Summers Era officially kicked off. Harley was the first player to run across that legendary bridge and was followed by over 100 of his teammates for an intense, 150-minute practice on a gorgeous 82-degree March afternoon in Statesboro.
Summers and his new staff put the team through the paces, starting with stretching, kicking and individual periods before beginning the installation process of the offense and defense.
