Sophomore cross country runner Merabu Nagwandala was named the Sun Belt XC Runner of the Week last week for her performance at the FSU Invitational.
Nagwandala had a great outing at the FSU Invitational as she placed ninth overall out of 228 runners while recording a personal best and a school record time of 18:00.7 in the 5k event.
Nagwandala previously won both 5k races in two home meets at the Eagles XC Challenge and the GATA XC Classic earlier on in the season.
In this weekend’s Sand Shark Invitational, she broke another school record in the 5k with a time of 17:58.
