Softball Concludes Season at Sun Belt Conference Tournament, Falling 9-2 to ULM

TROY, Ala. – Fifth-seeded Georgia Southern softball concluded its 2025 season after falling to fourth-seeded ULM, 9-2, on Thursday night in the quarterfinals of the Sun Belt Conference tournament at Troy Softball Complex.

After a 44 minute lightning delay in the bottom of the second, ULM scored five runs on three hits and an Eagle error to take the lead. Georgia Southern cut into the deficit in the top half of the third on a two-out 2-RBI double off the bat of Payton Cushman, making it 5-2.

The Warhawks extended its lead back out to five in the third on a two-run home run to make it 7-2.
