LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Georgia Southern senior outfielder Emily Snider earned second-team All-South Region honors, as announced Thursday by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
The honor from the NFCA is the first of Snider's career but she was named to the Sun Belt Conference's first team last week. After hitting 15 home runs in her first three seasons combined, Snider hit 16 home runs in her final year. The Tennille, Georgia, native led all regular GS players with a .387 batting average, 16 home runs and 44 RBIs. Her 16 round-trippers were the second most in program history as she passed Kourtny Thomas (2014), Marie Fogle (2011) and Jenny Side (2008) with three home runs against Savannah State on April 26.
