Second Half Flurry Leads JMU Past Eagles, 5-1

HARRISONBURG, Va. - James Madison scored three goals in the final 15 minutes to take a 5-1 Sun Belt Conference women's soccer victory over visiting Georgia Southern on Sunday afternoon in Harrisonburg, Va.

The Dukes improved to 5-3-3 overall and 1-1-1 in the Sun Belt with the victory, while Georgia Southern falls to 2-7-2 overall and 0-2-1 in the league. The Eagles return to action on Sunday, September 28, visiting Louisiana for a 2 p.m. Sun Belt contest against the Ragin' Cajuns.

On a windy day in Virginia, the Dukes struck first as Jamie Swartz headed in a corner kick in the 17th minute to give the home team a 1-0 lead.
