STATESBORO - In front of a record crowd of 5,322 at the Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Convocation Center, No. 5-ranked LSU defeated host Georgia Southern, 118-70, on Sunday afternoon in Statesboro.
The crowd is the single-game Georgia Southern women's basketball record for a home game, besting the 3,925 drawn by the Eagles last year vs. Coastal Georgia in their annual Kids Day game on December 13. It is also a new arena record for The Hill, which opened in December of 2024.
The Eagles fall to 1-2 with the loss, while LSU improves to 3-0.
