STATESBORO, Ga. - The Georgia Southern women's basketball team returns to action on Tuesday, traveling to Orangeburg, S.C., for a 5:30 p.m. non-conference matchup at South Carolina State.
The Eagles (1-3) are coming off of a tough 84-36 loss to SEC to Alabama, while South Carolina State (1-2) picked up its first win of the season on Saturday, defeating Winthrop by a 65-37 score. Georgia Southern is 6-1 all-time against the Bulldogs, which included a 74-58 win by the Eagles in Statesboro last season, and Tuesday's trip will be the first visit to Orangeburg since 2002.
"They got their first win the other night with a nice road win at Winthrop," Head Coach Kip Drown said about the Bulldogs.
