STATESBORO, Ga. - The Georgia Southern women's basketball team embarks on an eastern Sun Belt swing this week, traveling to Coastal Carolina and Appalachian State in search of its first Sun Belt wins of the season.
The Eagles begin the trip on Thursday, facing Coastal Carolina (8-7, 2-2 SBC) at 5 p.m. in Conway, S.C. Georgia Southern (3-12, 0-4 SBC) is looking to halt a nine-game slide, as well as pick up its first win of 2018 and first conference win against a Coastal squad that is an impressive 8-2 at home this season.
Georgia Southern won both matchups last season in Coastal Carolina's first year in the Sun Belt, winning 65-62 in Conway and 78-70 in Statesboro.
