Offensive Firepower Guides Eagles Past Cougars Wednesday

STATESBORO, Ga. – Three different Eagles scored goals on Wednesday evening and shutout the College of Charleston 3-0 to improve to 4-4-0 on the season. GS outshot the Cougars 19-4 and held the advantage in corners 5-3.

Adam Davie pocketed his second goal of the season in the 26th minute, when Aidan Ferreira sent a ball into the box and found the right foot of Davie. The two sides would go into the half, with the Eagles leading the shot totals 5-2 and the match 1-0.

In the 62nd minute, Daniel Pereira was whistled for his second yellow card of the night, forcing the Cougars to play a man-down the remainder of the contest.
