No mercy for the Eagles in Myrtle

The season finale with Sun Belt newcomer Coastal Carolina was a game with empowered defense and big plays. The empowered defense vanished for the Eagles in the second half and ended up losing 28-17 to finish the season with a 2-10 record.

All gusto and swagger from Georgia Southern was gone as the team looked completely different than the previous two victories. The Chanticleers were able to do whatever they wanted to in the second half and totaled 365 yards on an Eagles defense that suffered injury after injury.
