Georgia Southern fell to the University of Georgia on Wednesday March 21, 10-3, as the Eagles added a loss to make their record 19-9 on the season while the Bulldogs added a win to their record of 27-2.
Georgia came out strong, grabbing a pair of runs in the very first inning off of senior pitcher Kaylee Ramos who was making her first career start for GS.
With a 2-0 lead in hand, UGA continued their momentum with a run off a leadoff triple in the second and a three-run third inning.
The Eagles didn’t quite give up, as they almost reached the plate as sophomore Mekhia Freeman hit a single to give the Eagles two on base with only one out in the second.
