Murray Rounding Back Into Form After Knee Injury

STATESBORO, Ga. - After a night of torrential rain and storms in the Statesboro area, the Georgia Southern football team had to alter its routine and practice at Paulson Stadium Thursday morning under chilly and breezing conditions.

Following practice, GSEagles.com had a chance to catch up with junior safety R.J. Murray, who is looking to rebound from a knee injury that ended his 2016 season prematurely.

Q: Coming off of a knee injury, how does it feel to be back on the field and healthy?
A: It feels good. I'm just taking it one day at a time, trusting in [athletic trainer] Brandy [Clouse] and trusting the coaches.
