STATESBORO - Former Georgia Tech wide receiver Micheal Summers, Jr. has been admitted to Georgia Southern University for graduate school and has joined the Eagle football team for his redshirt senior season this fall, as announced Monday by head coach Tyson Summers. Micheal Summers, Jr., who graduated from Georgia Tech on May 7 with a degree in business administration, will be eligible to play at GS this fall based on the NCAA graduate transfer rule.
Summers, Jr., who hails from Statesboro and graduated from Statesboro High, played in and started seven games at Georgia Tech last season, where he was the second-leading receiver for the Yellow Jackets.
