Men’s Golf Tied for Third after Two Rounds at Gopher Invite

INDEPENDENCE, Minn. – Wilson Andress and Ben Carr are tied for fifth at 6-under-par, and the 24th-ranked Georgia Southern men's golf team is tied for third after two rounds at the Gopher Invitational Sunday at Windsong Farm Golf Club.

Andress fired a 69-67, and Carr posted a 67-69. Mason Williams shot 69-71 and is tied for 21st. Rutgers (-15) leads the team standings, followed by Michigan State (-12). The Eagles (-11) are tied with Kent State, two strokes ahead of Furman (-9).

Carr led the Eagles with five birdies on his way to a 67 in the first round, and Andress played his final 12 holes of the morning 3-under to shoot 69.
