AUGUSTA, Ga. – Georgia Southern men's golf shot under par in the final two rounds to finish eighth at the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational Sunday at Forest Hills Golf Club.
No. 12 Florida (-39) won the event by 12 strokes over No. 6 Illinois. Georgia Southern (+4) finished three strokes ahead of tournament host Augusta (+7). The field features eight teams in the top-50 in the country and six in the top-25, including No. 9 Texas, the defending national champion, which finished sixth (-13).
Mason Williams shot 69-73-72 to finish 2-under and tie for 21st.
