NORMAN, Okla. – The Georgia Southern men's golf team was named a Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) All-Academic Team for the 2018-19 academic year, while Brett Barron earned Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-American Scholar recognition.
GS earns the GCAA All-Academic nod for the fourth straight season after posting a 3.38 grade point average. Barron earns All-America Scholar accolades for the first time and owns a 3.52 cumulative grade point average in finance. He posted a 73.11 scoring average with a top-5 finish and two top-10s while helping the Eagles reach the NCAA Championship Finals for the first time since 2010.
