STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern junior Logan Harrell has been named the Sun Belt Conference's Softball Player of the Week, announced today by league officials.
Harrell helped Georgia Southern go 4-1 last week by hitting .529 and slugging 1.000 with two doubles, two home runs and six RBI. The Pembroke, Ga., native launched her first grand slam home run as an Eagle and the fourth of her collegiate career in Georgia Southern's 12-4 win over UT San Antonio in Orlando on Wednesday, then followed that game up with a 4-for-5 contest against host UCF in a 7-1 win over the Knights.
