STATESBORO - The University of Massachusetts-Amherst announced Thursday game times for its upcoming football season, including the Oct. 21 game against Georgia Southern. The Eagles will head north to take on the Minutemen in a game that will kick off at 3:30 p.m. Coverage was not announced in the release.
Georgia Southern opens the season on Sept. 2 at Auburn and also plays New Hampshire, Indiana and UMass in non-conference action. UMass is in its second season as an FBS Independent team and will play three games against Sun Belt Conference teams.
