STATESBORO - Georgia Southern women's soccer defender Sade Heinrichs and forward Elis Nemtsov each earned a spot on the 2023 Preseason All-Sun Belt Team, announced today by the league.
The 2023 Sun Belt Women's Soccer Preseason Awards release also included the preseason coaches' poll, where the Eagles were picked to finish fourth overall among the 14 schools.
Heinrichs, the 2022 Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Year, earns one of the five defender spots on the preseason All-Conference squad. The Monchengladbach, Germany, native played all but 30 minutes at center back for the Eagles in 2022, helping Georgia Southern set a new school record with an 0.
