STATESBORO, Ga. - The Georgia Southern swimming and diving team downed visiting UNC Asheville, 134-103, in its home opener to the 2018-19 season on Friday afternoon at the RAC.
The Eagles improved to 2-0 in the dual meet schedule with the victory. Georgia Southern returns to the pool for a swimming-only competition at Campbell next Saturday, October 27th, at 11 a.m. in Buies Creek, N.C.
Georgia Southern used strong relay swims and diving to pick up the dual meet victory. The Eagles bookended the competition with wins in both relays, winning the 200 Medley Relay in a time of 1:47.
