STATESBORO, Ga. - The Georgia Southern men's soccer team has cracked the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Division I Southeast Regional rankings, released on Tuesday.
The Eagles (5-4) are ranked No. 10 in the region after winning its fourth contest out of its last five with last Wednesday's 2-1 win over Jacksonville. This is the first time that Georgia Southern men's soccer has been mentioned in the USC (formerly NSCAA) regional rankings since the second week of 2008, when the Eagles were ranked No. 5 in the Southeast Region after defeating nationally-ranked Clemson.
The region is topped by Florida International (5-0-2), with Kentucky (5-2-2) ranked second and Old Dominion (6-1-2) third.
