STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern Athletics Department will host a Celebration of Life for Coach Jack Stallings, the long-time head coach of the Eagle baseball program who passed away this week in Tallahassee, Florida. He was 87 years old.
The event will be held in Statesboro on Friday, Sept. 7, the night before the Eagles' home football game against UMass and in conjunction with the Hall of Fame Weekend. Friends, family, co-workers, players and fans are welcome as the life and legacy of Coach Stallings will be celebrated on the field which bears his name at J.
