Georgia Southern sophomore safety Java’n Singletary has put his name in the NCAA transfer portal, the athletic department confirmed Tuesday night.

Singletary played in nine games and started in one in the 2019-20 season. His first and only start came in the Cure Bowl against Liberty where he had two tackles and his first career interception. Singletary finished the season with 10 tackles and an interception.

A former three-star coming out of Veterans High School in Warner Robins, Singletary was set to be one of the top safeties for the Eagles after losing Donald Rutledge to graduation.
