Georgia Southern pitcher Joe Nahas signed a free agent contract with the Chicago Cubs after an impressive showing in the minor league this summer.
He announced his signing via Twitter on July 12.

Nahas had a strong two years on the mound for GS, finishing with a 4.78 ERA and 42 strikeouts last season. He played a crucial role in defeating the west division Sun Belt Champions Texas State by throwing two innings and striking out three.
